Fifth Grade Teachers

Jen FreeseJen Freese (English Teacher) was born and raised in Goleta, California, but has also lived in Berkeley, New Orleans and New York City. She is happy to have finally settled in beautiful Sonoma County with her family. Freese completed her undergraduate work in English at the University of California, Berkeley, and then earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Inclusive Education at Teachers College, Columbia University in 2008. She worked in the New York City public schools for three years teaching 4th grade before moving to Sonoma County, where she taught for five years at The Healdsburg School. Freese is passionate about education and especially loves teaching language arts in the upper grades. In her spare time, Freese loves to spend time with her family, which includes her husband and two sons, as well as two cats and an enormous dog.

Rubi Solorio GuillenRubí Solorio Guillén (Spanish Teacher) was born and raised in Sonoma County. She graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a minor in Chicano Latino Studies and then with a Multiple Subject Credential. Before she graduated from Sonoma State, she worked with CA Mini-Corps, a statewide program designed to provide direct instructional services for migrant students in grades k-12.
